SC decides not to hold Advocate-on-Record Exams-2020 on account of spike in COVID-19 cases in Delhi, postponed till June 2021.
New Delhi, December 03, 2020: The Supreme Court has decided to postpone the examination of the Advocate-on-Record (AoR) examination for the year 2020 in view of COVID-19 pandemic and the exam is expected to be held in June 2021.
According to the Additional Registrar, Recruitment Cell of the Supreme Court has sent a letter to the Supreme Court Bar Association informing about the decision and the letter said :
"Considering the rising cases of COVID-19 pandemic in Delhi, the competent authority has directed that the Advocates-on-Record Examination 2020 will not be conducted this year and the same may be conducted in the month of June 2021. You are therefore requested to bring the contents of this communication to the notice of all concerned."
The decision was arrived at after taking into account the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Delhi.
